Makeup brushes are so important for application to create a flawless face so I want to show you brushes that I love and use on a daily basis.
I have a quite nice collection of them and I have been using them for many years and I think that I can advise which are really good and worth buying.

FOUNDATION BRUSHES

REAL TECHNIQUES EXPERT FACE BRUSH

Description: Ultra firm and broad for application and blending of cream or liquid foundation.

I use this brush when applying my liquid or cream foundation, and I also use this to buff and blend my concealer in. It really makes my makeup look smooth.
The bristles are dense and super soft, but still sturdy enough for full control of the application.

SIGMA FLAT KABUKI F80
Description: The F80 Flat Kabuki™ features a flat top brush head with very soft and dense fibers. Made with exclusive Sigmax® fibers, this brush provides a flawless, high definition finish with liquid or cream foundation without any absorption of product.

This is the softest brush I have ever felt and it applies so smooth. It gives you flawless coverage, and the bristles are super soft, so even if you’re buffing in the makeup, it doesn’t scratch at your face and doesn’t leave any strokes. Its gives an airbrush effect, love it.

POWDER BRUSHES

LARGE POWDER BRUSH F30 SIGMA
Description: The F30 Large Powder features a large, round fluffy brush head used for a diffused application of powder products all over the face. This multi-functional brush is perfect for seamless blending and finishing your makeup look.

This is a great large and soft rounded brush brush for applying powder. Very big, domed and fluffy. It applies my powder super quickly since it’s so big. I really like it for the price as well. I haven’t had any problems with shedding.

REAL TECHNIQUES BUFFING BRUSH
Description: ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation

I have been using this brush almost daily for the past year and it’s still as good as the day I bought it. It is good at blending out foundation flawlessly but I like and only use it to set my makeup with powder. To my knowledge, this brush is only available with the whole “core collection”, which are also great brushes but not as commonly used as this one.

CONTOUR BRUSHES

REAL TECHNIQUES BLUSH BRUSH
Description: Contour and define cheeks for flawlessly blended, high-definition results

Such a high quality brush for the price. It is super soft to the touch and quite large multi-tasking brush.
I use it for a contour/bronzer brush and I’m very pleased with how it works. If you’re someone who just wants to get that “kissed by the sun” fresh look this is perfect brush for it.
I like the shape of it, which is rounded with a very slight tapered end so it gives a really lovely finish to the skin.
It’s also great powder brush, it disperses a light and even amount of powder, and with the tapered tip I can concentrate it more on my t-zone.

MAC 109 SMALL CONTOUR BRUSH
Description: Use on the face to apply, blend or contour powder products. Softly rounded dome tip delivers just enough colour; smoothly blends colour into the face.

I love this brush it has so many uses. I use it for contouring, blush, powder, cream and liquid foundation.
This brush is excellent for contouring so whenever I need to contour, this brush is the FIRST brush I pick up all the time. It’s really gives the “airbrushed” look.

EYES BRUSHES/ BLENDING BRUSHES

BOBBI BROWN EYE SMUDGE BRUSH
Description: The tapered end of this brush is designed for smudging to create a modern, soft, smokey eye.

It is soft and subtle brush. Blends and smudges shades beautifully, especially when you are wanting to create a more enhanced evening/going out look.
The hairs are short,rounded and tapered at the end. It applies colour with precision and densely in to the crease of my eye and is excellent for creating a defined outer V.
This brush will also allow for an excellent “cut crease”,as well as a soft or a dramatic smoky eye.

MAC 217 BLENDING BRUSH
Description: For shading or blending of colour or creamy products. This brush has fine, densely packed fibers that are arranged in an oval shape.

This brush is an absolute must have in my collection. I already own 3 and seriously this brush is so great that you can create a full eye make up just with this brush.
This brush is perfect for applying highlighter beneath the brow bone, an all over shadow to the lid, a darker shadow to the outer corner of the eye, to add shadow to the crease,
or to blend the crease and highlight shadows together. So is so versatile that is my must have brush.

MAC 224 TAPERED BLENDING BRUSH
Description: Brush For controlled eye shadow application. This brush has soft fibers which taper to form a medium size dome shape.

This is the very 1st brush that I start with every single day. It’s amazing at blending all products as well making blending look so beautiful and professional. A must have brush.

EYES BRUSHES/ BASE SHADOW

MAC 219 PENCIL BRUSH
Description: For precision shading on lid, in eye crease or along lash line. The soft, smooth fibers of this brush are gathered into a pencil-shaped tip.

Does what it says LOVE this brush, it makes blending a smokey eye so easy. Perfect for doing cut-crease eye-shadow looks and also you can use it as a highlighter brush.
I mainly use it to smoke/blend out my bottom eye-liner and for blending eyeliner into eye shadow to create a smoky looking eye.

MAC 239 EYE SHADER BRUSH
Description: Soft and dense to shade or blend eye shadow or emollient-based products. This brush has a tapered, rounded edge with smooth, firm, fine fibres.

I really love this brush. It’s very soft and smooth.
I use this to pack color on the eyelid and smooth it out. It’s, perfect for detailed placement. It can be used to build intense colour on the eyelid.
Picks up the perfect amount of product. Love!

INGLOT 16PP
Description: Best for: Eye Shadow

Great brush for laying color. Good to pack on eyeshadow or just to apply lightly. Very soft and silky, it holds product well and applys perfectly.

INGLOT 28PO
Description: Best for: Eye Shadow, (powder base under eye makeup, eye modeling).

This brush is so versatile can be used on either the face or eye. Can be use for applying, blending or highlighting any powder products. This brush makes applying a base shadow on the lid very easy in one swipe. I mostly use this brush for shading and highlighting the nose, it perfect for it.

EYLINER BRUSHES

MAC 266 SMALL ANGLE BRUSH

Description: For creating sharp, precise lines. This brush has fibres which are carefully arranged to form a perfect angle. 

This is a must-have brush for gel/cream liner(OR powder/gel brow product) lovers. This brush really creates perfect lines, for the perfect cat eye.
I use it with my gel liners. You can also use it to fill in your eyebrows with powder.

BOBBI BROWN ULTRA FINE EYLINER BRUSH
Description: Easy to hold and control, this slim, tapered Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush creates a flawless line. The brush hairs are finely pointed and tightly packed for precise application.

Excellent brush for applying smooth eyeliner. It glides across the lid and allows me to put eyeliner on with precision. The tip of this brush is perfect in size and texture to put gel eyeliner exactly where I need it.

INGLOT 30T
Description: Best for: Eye Shadow, Eyeliner

It is a great product to make precise lines. Works great for drawing on wings, too.

REAL TECHNIQUES BASE SHADOW BRUSH from Starter Set
Description: Base shadow brush: applies a smooth, flawless foundation of color.

It’s a great multitasker, it’s the best in the collection Eyes Starter Set, good for concealer, eyeshadow, crease, cream or powder products I use it every single day.

INGLOT 22T
Description: Best for: Cream Concealer

Great at applying liquid or cream concealers to the face and cream eye shadows. It’s flat and synthetic so it packs up creamy concealer easily. I use it to apply concealer to my brow and under eye concealer. It’s good for applying concealer to small blemishes and to touch up fine lines.

As the new month has started I present you my favourites of January. There is just a few beauty products,
which I love and definitely would recommend. MAC lipstick Sin and Faux with MAC Lipliners Half Red and Burgundy are my must-have   You really can create some gorgeous looks with them.
I also went crazy with very unique pinky/coral blush shade from Bobbi Brown. It gives me a flattering glow.
Next favourite is Caviar Ink Gel Liner, which I use every single day and I can’t stop;) The eyeshadow Mac Cranberry, Antiqued and Inglot pearl 395 are so beautiful and versatile,
these have been one of my most used eyeshadows over the last few weeks.
I’ve also found a great book about Helena Rubinstein

Mac Faux lipstick and Mac Half Red lip pencil

MAC Faux it’s a mauve pink with a little hint of brown, perfect nude shade. It’s creamy, opaque and has a good staying power.
I always pair this with a Mac Half Red lip pencil and for me it’s just perfect combination.

MAC Half Red It’s a medium-dark, plummy rose shade. One of the best lip pencils I have used. I have to say I use it almost every day it’s My HG. You can wear it with a variety of neutral-to-cool hues, from light mauve to deep maroon. I usually wear it with Mac Faux and Viva Glam II.

Mac Sin lipstick and Mac Burgundy Lip pencil

MAC Sin lipstick it’s a cool-toned and blue-based,  dark, burgundy red with a matte finish.  It’s very versatile you can go for a vamp glam look or you can also achieve a midtone purple red blotting it on lightly and building it up. Love! ( but make sure well moisture your lips because it can dry the lips out and cause patchiness).

MAC Burgundy lip pencil It’s a matte, opaque, pigmented deep burgundy red colour. It makes a perfect combination with MAC Sin but looks fantastic on its own as well.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blush Pink Coral 8 The color is a gorgeous pink coral, highly pigmented. It really warms up my skin. That blush has the silkiest, most velvety feel and great pigmentation.

Bobbi Brown Caviar Ink - I bought this by mistake but I really like this brownish black color. It’s dark enough for dramatic looks and because , it’s not as harsh as black liner makes it great for daytime looks. 

Inglot 395, MAC Cranberry, MAC Antiqued

Inglot Eyeshadow Refill 395 Pearlit’s a champagne /pale beige shade. I love to use it as a highlighter for my brow bone. It’s super light, smooth and silky.

MAC Cranberry I love this deep plum/purple shade, its really unique and looks gorgeous on my grey eyes. Blends beautiful and has very good pigmentation. Look really good with Club on the outer corners.

MAC Antiqued is a warm coppery rust brown that will looks amazing on blue / green /grey eyes. It is an absolutely gorgeous shade. Blends perfect and it’s very pigmented. Gorgeous for day or night. Love!

Helena Rubinstein: The Woman Who Invented Beauty by Michèle Fitoussi

This is an amazing book about a truly fascinating woman. Absolute pleasure to read. I recommend it thoroughly.

This post is about my red lipstick collection.
It is quite small but actually I love all those colours and
I am literally obsessed with few of them, MAC Russian Red and Ruby Woo are the must have lipsticks.

MAC Ruby Woo – It is a matte red (blue based) A true classic!
My go-to red lip and an absolute absolute must-have. Suits all skin tones and hair colors. It’s ultrapigmented with matte finish.
and blue tone reds so make your teeth look whiter!
Use with a pencil Mac REDD or Cherry. Love it!

MAC Russian Red - It’s a real classic red with blue-ish red undertone, very pigmented, has a matte finish but it’s quite creamy for a matte lipstick.
I am obsessed with this colour. It is the perfect shade of red for fair skin.
I use with MAC’s lip liner in Brick and Cherry. love!!!

MAC Dubonnet – It’s a bloody red with a brown/brick tone. Has an amplified creme formula so it’s pleasant to wear. This dramatic brick red will be flattering on olive and dark complexions. 
Looks amazing with MAC Burgundy lip liner.

Rouge Dior 743 Rouge Zinnia – It’s a voluptuous true red, not blue, not yellow based with a hint of pink that will look great on any skin tone.
It has a lovely buttery smooth formula, It’s super comfortable and lightweight, simply a beautiful, intense, creamy red. I wear it with a MAC’s lip liner Half-Redd or Brick.

Guerlain Kiss Kiss Exces de Rouge 523 – It’s just the perfect, bright blue based red. This is a gorgeous, movie star, red carpet red!
The formula is nice, very well pigmented with one application.

YSL Vernis A Levres 9 – It’s a beautiful classic red shade which makes my teeth look whiter it has watery texture and the shine of a gloss which is pretty amazing, it stays like forever and doesn’t make my lips feel dry.

NARS Heat Wave – It’s rich and vivid, semi-matte lipstick. A true and classic red with a slight coral-orange hint to it.
A very flattering shade, that really brightens my complexion and I would say is my hg summer red.
